Serving Brentwood... Betsy Crossley has been serving the city of Brentwood for over a decade. Since 2007 she has worked as one of seven City Commissioners and additionally as Brentwood's Mayor from 2009 - 2011. Prior to running for City Commissioner, she sat on the Brentwood Planning Commission and Historic Commisssion for seven years, from 2001- 2007.
Crossley's volunteer work in the Brentwood community over the years includes serving as Co-Chair of the Nashville Symphony Council for Williamson County, Owl's Hill Nature Center, SaddleUp!, the St. Thomas Foundation, Christ United and Brentwood United Methodist Churches, Williamson County Schools, Brentwood Women's Club, the American Heart Association and Brentwood Noon Rotary. In addition to her duties at the city, Betsy Crossley is the County Mayor's appointee to the Williamson County Economic Development Board. Regionally, she was elected to represent 46 cities in Middle TN as a Director on the Tennessee Municipal League's Exceutive Board from 2008- 2012. She served on the Metropolitan Planing Organization and the Regional Transit Authority Board from 2007- 2011. As Mayor, Betsy represented Brentwood as a member the Regional Mayors' Caucus from 2009-2011. Last year, she was appointed to serve a three year term on the TN Water and Wastewater Financing Board by Governor Haslam. The commitment to preserving the beauty and successful fiscal management of Brentwood are Crossley's highest prioroties. With an appreciation for the past, yet continuing to design a focused plan for the future, Betsy serves the city of Brentwood with enthusiasm.
